Autumn 2010

Fionnuala Gill performs at launch of her debut album Whispers of Love

The season turns again and I’ve been watching the swallows lining over the last few weeks in preparation for their long flight south. Soon the clock will jump back and we will be in Winter again – how time flies!

It has been a busy summer for me and will also be a busy autumn time so I am glad to share news of various events and performances that I will be involved in over the next few months, both in Ireland and the USA.

The Dublin Theatre Festival begins at the end of September and I will performing in a very exciting production of the Greek tragedy Phaedra – a stellar cast and an amazing band led by Ellen Cranitch will ensure that this is a show not to be missed! The production runs September 30th – October 10th – please see the events page of the website for further details or check out Phaedra at Dublin Theatre Festival

For those of you in Dublin I am very privileged to be performing at a very special event at the RDS on October 19th – the globally renowned spiritual teacher Eckhart Tolle will be giving a special session and I am greatly looking forward to providing music for the event. His profound yet simple teachings have benefited many and I believe that the event is selling out very quickly so do book soon if you are interested (see events page on this site or visit

October 22nd – 24th sees me involved in the Mohill Storytelling Festival up in the lovely county of Leitrim – it will be a magical weekend of wonder, creativity, inspiration, music and stories from all over the globe and I highly recommend getting involved. Whether you join us for a day or for the whole weekend I am sure you will leave feeling enriched! The festival website is and, again, there are further details on the events page.

For those of you in the US, I am delighted to say that I will be Stateside at the end of October taking part in an exciting tour called ‘Spirit Seeking – A Celebration of Celtic Soul’ with Kathleen Deignan and friends. Kathleen and I met in New York this time two years ago and we have been hatching plans to perform together ever since, so I am very excited about our upcoming tour – it will be a feast of beautiful music and spiritual nourishment. Further details can be found at Schola Ministries.

Summer 2010 saw me doing some very exciting work with the great musician Davey Arthur who works with the Furey Brothers – Davey and myself did a short tour in the US in July and are in the final stages of completing a wonderful album together – more details of this exciting project will follow shortly!

Blessings and good wishes to all,
